Steelers vs Bears Monday Night Football
On Monday, Nov. 8, the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Chicago Bears at Heinz Field for their week 9 matchup. That Friday, Tony D's posted on their Instagram and Twitter that they would host a watch party for the Monday Night contest and all customers were welcome to watch. One customer in attendance that night was injured Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster.
"When I was at the University of Southern California, I had never been to a bar-like atmosphere to watch a game." Smith-Schuster said. "I love the fans here in Pittsburgh and their support to all of us as a team. Of course I would love to be playing in tonight's game, but watching with the fans makes me love them even more of what they have to say.
The day prior to the game, CEO Dom Ferro messaged him on Instagram asking if he would like to come and watch the game at Tony D's. He replied back "I'll see you there at 8 PM." When he arrived at Tony D's prior to the game, he was greeted with a standing ovation with the customers chanting "Juju".
"When I got the notification on my phone that Juju replied back to my message, I was stoked for the opportunity to not only meet him but as well as have him interact with Steelers fans and our customers." Ferro said. "Having him at Tony D's for our game is something I could only dream of and now it has become a reality.
When the Steelers go away to play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football this week, Juju will once again be in attendance at Tony D's for the game and hopefully bring another win to the Steel City. Reserve your spot at Tony D's before we run out at tdhouseofza.com
